What we did

To check the temperature of the stream we filled our jar 10 cm below the water line and waited one minute to read the temperature . The purpose of this check is to see if the temperature of the stream is well suited for aquatic life , if the water is too warm it can cause stress on the animals and make it difficult for them to breathe . As humans we tend to release water back into the environment after were done using it .The water we release back is typically warmer than the orginal quantity of water. This type of pollution is called thermal pollution . Our results from the test was 9 degrees Celsius . Since were in the season of spring the temperature we got is below the ideal one which is 13 degrees Celsius . If the temperature were above 20 degree Celsius it can harm the BMI of the aquatic animals and plants.
